Erick Swenson was the reason i attended my first Whitney Biennial in 2004. i was still a Dallas resident and a big fan of Swenson’s when i found out one of his pieces was going to be featured in the exclusive exhibition. the 04 Biennial is still the most inspiring i’ve seen and Swenson’s work continues to blow my mind.
