below are photos and notes from my week long art pilgrimage through the Southwestern dessert of the US. centered around a visit to Walter de Maria’s Lightning Field in New Mexico, the GF and I drove 1400 miles cris-crossing big sky country from Los Alamos to Marfa. not listed are our visits to the Albuquerque Museum (a pleasant surprise) and stops at galleries in Santa Fe including Site (the Susan Bocanegra and Pae White show was excellent). the majority of posts directly following, relate to Marfa and the Chinati Foundation unless otherwise indicated. it was the best vacation of my life. thanks Gail.
