another pilgrimage worthy work from seventy five year old artist Walter De Maria. Large Red Sphere is a twenty five ton beacon for art nerds such as myself located at the Turkentor Gallery in Germany. the architectural firm of Sauerbruch Hutton built the gallery to house this single work of art in a site that formerly housed a military bunker occupied by Hitler himself, adding to the intrigue. i am in the planning stages for my second  trip to The Lightening Field, De Maria’s seminal sculpture in the middle of the New Mexico dessert, now i have to add this to my art bucket list.
