So apparently it’s not just your Mentalist sticker in 1080p, Get Glue seems to be pivoting hard towards discovery and into Social Guide / Tweet TV / Buddy TV territory. I remain unconvinced that social discovery baked into a guide is a real added value for users. (I won’t argue that Electronic Programming Guides don’t need to be fixed, they do) Meaningful discovery occurs organically through social interactions, not a random data point that was collected based on “unlocking” a virtual sticker.
